Toronto Hospital for Sick ChildrenCanada Israel Immunodeficiency Research Alliance

Presented to Toronto Hospital for Sick Children & E. Wolfson Medical Centre, Israel

Dr. Chaim Roifman, Chair, CI Society joined Dr. Ilan Dalal, Head of Pediatric Emergecy Unit and Dr. Yitzhak Berlovitz, Director Edith Wolfson Medical Center for the unveilingof the Canada Israel Immunodeficiency Research Alliance plaque at the entrance to the pediatric ward. The CI Society is honoured to have the support of Talecris Biotherapeutic in building international collaborations for research in Primary Immunodeficiency. Dr. Dalal's research is focused in the area of Pediatric Immunodeficiency.

E. Richard StiehmThe Canadian Immunodeficiency Society Award for outstanding achievement

Presented to E. Richard Stiehm MD

For his life-long work and dedication in the field of Primary Immunodeficiency this award was presented to Dr. E. Richard Stiehm, professor of Pediatrics in the Divison of Allergy, Immunology and Rheumatology at Matell Children’s Hospital at UCLA at the second conference on Host Defense in Edmonton, September 2007.

Fred  and Vicki Modell are founders of the Jeffrey Modell Foundation who tragically lost their son to a Primary Immunodeficiency (PI). The award is to honour their incredible commitment to finding a cure and their contributions towards PI research and education globally.
